Defeated in the UMT, the Gypsies decided to try their luck in the Orca-Cola series.

Up against the mighty high elves, the Atlantis Falcons, the Gypsies would have their work cut out for them. Olaf fought through his old injury and joined the boys from Dark Water on the field of glory. Their drive ended early with a successful blitz on Leadfist. The Gypsies struggled to get the ball back. Cougar grabbed the ball and was promptly knocked out. In a desperate gamble, Brimstone pushed himself and got the ball. From the sidelines, he bobbled the ball, then regained it. He threw a rocket to Leadfist and put the Gypsies up one.

The high ones were intent to even the score. Fortunately, there was a small gap in the line and the recovered Cougar pushed in for a blitz, returning the KO. The Gypsies were able to hold off the elves for the half, though the apothocary had to bring McDamage back from the dead after a misjudged block.

The Gypsies would hold off the elves for the entire second half; made easier by early casualties by both Cougar and Jawshatter. Down men, the elves tried their best to score, but luck would not be with them.

The New Gypsies are showing some signs of aging. Last game Moat niggled on his experience bump, this game Stu Gauntlet would follow. I guess that is what happens after all those apothecary saves. Still, Dark Water would earn enough to finally field the fourth King... a new blitzer named Gregg Granite! Both Moat and Gauntlet plan to step down as soon as replacements can be found.

Good game Ky. Probably should've been yours. Good luck with the Falcons.

This one indeed one of the best games I've played in a while. Lots of thinking, and lots of good plays by coaches and players.

I had some bad luck on just the final rolls when trying to score, but then again I got some lucks on other rolls.

My AG5 Thrower, Michael Vick, was stunned on first half and he was out for some time. I think that the turning point of the game was when I left him in the range of MA7, ST4 Thrower to blitz. Horrible mistake from me, as I didn't even see that Thrower. I was only concerned about the nearest linos. Looking back, I should have kept him way back, as with AG5 and accurate even Long Bombs are quite easy. No need to be even near to a blitzing range.

But it has been over 9 months since I played this team last time, so I can put something to that ;)

But it was a good game that I enjoyed. No dice rapes, both teams got some success and fails. Maybe we'll see in OCCS some other time :)
