------------------
A bizarro game with lots of insane luck for both teams. The Amazons started in offence and after some crappo luck (Skull + Skull/Pow rerolled into same on my blitz breakthrough move), were spread all over and struggling to but an offence together.
Whilst they had some very lucky hits on the LOS soon later (badly hurting two Black Orc Blockers) they failed on their Blitz move to set up a potential score and the Boyz dodged their way to attacking the Amazons ball carrier and knocked the ball free.
The Amazons were unsuccessful in stealing the ball back and the Boyz took the lead.
The Amazons on their next drive put on a half baked offence and sent a player deep with the ball. Some bad luck struck when a failed GFI for a screening player resulted in a SI, MNG.
The Boyz then had their own bad luck with either snake-eyes or 2 ones in 3 rolls on the double GFI blitz on the Babes ball carrier and the Amazons escaped with a TD to level the scores.
The Boyz had 3 turns to try and score and with a heap of pushes and few pows, were bogged down near the line of scrimmage whilst the Amazons sent a Blodge Sidestep Catcher down to harrass the ball carrier.
The Boyz then had another attack of ones when their Thrower fell over on a GFI trying to reduce the pass range. The ball fell free and a chance was there for the Amazons to take the lead!
The Zons chose to try a 3+ pass to a lineman when they probably could have done a 2+ pass instead (though a 6+ intercept chance) to an AG4 NOS Catcher who then could dodge his way to a score. Anyways, I rolled a pair of twos and the pass was missed. A pair of twos would have been a failed intercept and then a catch by my Catcher with NOS...
Too tired and wasn't paying enough attention I guess.
Second half, the Boyz started in offence and formed a cage just behind the line of scrimmage. The Amazons swarmed the cage and both teams lost a player in the exchange of blows - the Boyz having a Blitzer badly hurt and the Amazons a blitzer KOd.
The Boys got mainly pushes and retreated the cage slightly but leaving one corner open before their Troll knocked himself out with a pair of Skull/Pows.
The Amazons got two dice on the ball carrier, but were unable to knock him over despite a reroll (3 rerolls used in 3 turns on push blocks rerolled into push blocks!)
The Boyz got 3 knockdowns and three pushes from their 6 blocks and tried to consolidate their position, but the Amazons with some knockdowns were able to set up a two dice block on the ball carrier if Dauntless worked. A reroll was required on the Dauntless roll and the ball carrier was knocked over.
The Amazons had a chance to set up a decent chance to score, but failed to pick up the ball despite having AG4 and sure hands due to the rain and a tackle zone.
The Boyz with their blocks pushed a Amazon player onto the ball and it bounced onto an AG4 Lineman who caught it! The linewoman ran up and did a 2+ quick pass to the AG4 NOS Catcher who made her 3+ catch and 2+ dodge to take the lead.
The Boyz lined up on offence and then scored a 1 turn TD with a Throw Team Mate play! With their kicker in the KO box, the Amazons were unable to go for a deep kick and the ball landed close to the LOS and it the Boyz picked it up, handed it off to their Goblin who managed to land despite hte pass being missed and ran in the TD to tie the scores.
With 3 turns to win the match, the Amazons played loose offence and then were exposed when they failed their sure hands pick up of the ball. (I could have used the AG4 Thrower, but went with the AG3 one as he could walk away further and he had safe throw... I would have been better picking up the ball with the AG4 and throwing it to him...
Anyways, the Boyz stormed down the open wing and managed to pick up the ball.
The Zons rolled a 1 on the GFI to set up the two dice blitz, but managed to knock the ball player over. A one dice block to free up a scorer near the LOS (needing a push, then a Dauntless player needed to make her roll and then get a push on two dice, but then I needed a 3+ dodge still to get to the ball and then a likely 3+ pass with Strong Arm and Accruate) netted a skull and it was the end of the turn.
The Boyz made a couple of rolls including a 3+ pass and catch to win the match.
-------------
A fun and silly game, though the bad luck in the end to lose the game was a bit suckful.
Then again, I had a fair bit of luck to score my first TD after the disasterous start when I conceded a TD on offence.

Ah well, no one maimed and no FF loss.
