“My first ever tournament match didnt really go as planned but things seldomly go as planned so what the hell.
I figured I had the strength advantage in this match, seeing as I had one less ST 4 player, but 2 players with gaurd while my opponent had none. I also had block on almost all my players while the orcs only had 2 with block. So if it came to bashing I figured I would win.
First half the orcs fumbled a bit but eventually passed the ball to the goblin whom ran towards the TD zone but slipped (failed GFI on the last square). The ball was just laying there and seeing as I had one my elves there it was easily picked up and moved away from the orcs. The Elfs greater movement made it hard for the orcs to catch him and he as able to score last turn. The orcs had 2 KO and I had one. One of the orcs came in making them a man up. 10 vs 9.
At kickoff, of the second half, this game was about to turn drastically. I got blitzed and everyone basically got knocked down. The bad luck began and shortly I had 3 players KOd and 2 BH while the orcs still had 10 players. One of the elves broke loose and looked to score. The orcs Ogre rushed after him madly, having to sprint and blocked the elf. The elf got injured and the ball landed in the hands of the ogre. With the ogre holding the ball and being severly outnumbered there was nothing I could do. I had one 2db block opportunity on the ogre but it was ofcourse double Pushback.
Things just basically didnt go my way the second half and the orcs could tie the game at 1-1. Not the result I wanted or had expected but cheers to Sablewyvern for a clean game and good luck to him in the future of this Tourney”
