This was a fun game for me. I can't really say the same for Mr. Goforitandfail though. I guess this was an Elf team used to beating up on other Elf teams, as there was a lot of Block and MB on the roster. This didn't quite work against Orcs. The first half was relatively even with the Breezers scampering to an early touchdown, and P-Funk tying it up on the 7th turn. It was also surprisingly blood-free, with only 1 KO and 1 BH inflicted upon the Elves. Things turned around in the second half, with the Breezers getting turned down on a push up the middle and their numbers soon reduced to a Wardancer, a Lineman, and a Treeman who had taken root on the first turn. This sealed it up nicely, and I managed to overcome some extremely stupid mental lapses involving not realizing that I had to dodge *out* of a square. Anyways, gfiandfail was a good sport about it all. Hope you make the finals one day.

I dont want to sound bitter in reply to my opponnents report. However i have to say the game was 93% played by dices imho.

There wasnt only 1 KO and 1 BH. There were 3 BHs, 1 SI and i think at least 4 KOs during one drive.
Also there wasnt even one drive where i didnt had at least 1 player sleeping in the KO box i think. Having started with 10 players vs. 12 orcs this wasnt much of an advantage.
So all in all id say 4 Cas and around 5-6 KOs is a reasonable amount of blood for an orc team with only one Blocker vs. 4 blocking elfes, 3 MB.

On my dice comment:
I think at most there may have been 2 situation were actual coaching was involved in this game.
One being the orcs reply after the elfes sneaked the ball from their offense. This reply was rock solid however and Monotonous choosed just the right defense formation for this situation.
The other was my offense drive which i messed up in perfection. So all in all the win may still be deserved somehow!

However the rest was just dices. My TD after a blitz as well of course.
I rolled snakes in the crucial situation while the orcs did fail at most 2 block though not having block skill:

After my blitz TD i broke the orcs cage and unfortunately caught the scatter. After that solid defense formation mentioned above my only chance to score was a long pass out of one TZ. Inaccurate would have been good enough since the catcher would have been out of reach but he failed a rerolled +2 dodge.

Then as if my offense wasnt messed up enough already (needed a short pass and a 3+ catch and dodge with my wardancer to score), i fumbled the ball.
This of course was one of the key situations and unfortunately the game turned into a nice dicerape for that crucial last turns of the game.

All elfes but one in the orcs half, the ball at the midfield, the orcs cleared the pitch causing 2 BH and i think 3 KOS in 1-2 turns.
This left me with a rooted tree a wardancer and two linos from turn 3 on, 2 turns later it was the tree and a lonely wardancer.
After a fireball cast i had my last chance for the ball but significant to say a Bob caught the scatter.

That debacle after the fumbled pass was one of two key situations.
The other were i caught the scatter on the orcs offense was much more crucial imho.
This way i was put into a weak offense instead of a strenghened defense which would have been much more preferable in that situation.
This only increased the chances for the orcs to delay their td to a point where i wouldnt be able to reply anymore with a score.
And so it did happen.

Otherwise i maybe would have managed to get over that other key situation where my whole team was sent off the pitch in 2 turns, since the orcs could have only tied the game then.

Oh yeah, anyway - noticable to say the bob scored the winning td by being pushed into the endzone by the wardancer.
Everyone should be able to value the irony in that, so did i and had my laugh at the end of a game that otherwise wasnt all that enjoyable to me. ;)

Hope ill get my chance to matchup the "Mothership Connection" once again in an OCCS game - good luck in the finals!

PS: Oh, and just to avoid any misunderstandings here: i dont use this team to bash elves (nor was i trying it against these orcs)! Block is just still the most usual skill choice even for elves i think...at least i havent seen it differently very often.
