Handicap in my favour was Duh Where Am I which I put on the Treasurer - the beasty claw/RSC beast... thought it might limit the blood spillage! :-p
1st half I just couldn't find a way through... and when I did Optimus got Wizarded, leaving the ball on the floor, but I managed to prevent the chaos side from counter scoring.
2nd half was quite a desperate display from the Chaos Dwarf side as their numbers were wittled down... mostly NH's and KO's. Both centaurs eventually were removed from play, and my Wizard was also wheeled in to action to zap the ball carrier... and it worked too... one hob gob charged through the line, picked up the ball and threw it to the farthest corner of the chaos half... Trouble was the area was soon overun with beastmen, and every remaining dwarf was marked. The 2 nearby hob goblins couldn't get much nearer to the ball without being put straight back on the ground again.
Despite some elven dodging by the dwarves, and one or two lucky -2dice blocks/blitzes, the Chaos side scored in turn 8. A valiant effort, but the team that looked like they would win on paper turned out to be the good bet.
Thanks for a much better humoured game than our last meeting. Hopefully we can forget that and move on. Look foward to our next meeting!
