“We had the game drop out with 3 turns to go. Luck reading is obviously out and the replay file might be broken.
Handicaps were Knuckledusters and Smelling Salts.
Well a very frustrating match at times. My opponent started with the ball and let me into a position to steal it and I did! However, I kept getting 1s and 1s and 1s. I did take a couple of hopeful passes to score without a reroll, but couldn't get the 3+ and there wee also the snakes and double skulls to make it hard to keep the ball.
Anyway, I finally get the ball to yet another player who can score, just need 2 GFI. Makes first, snake eyes second, is stunned, and the ball thrown upfield to a spot where my opponent gets it ans scores instead, leaving me just the one turn.
That was damn unlucky...
So, I set up for a one turn chain pushback TD with my AG5 Witch. Things are looking ok, but I need to either dodge or GFI to set up the next push. What do I roll? Snakes again!
So I go into the second half down 0-1 but receiving.
Finally, some rolls string together and I get a TD, but not before getting a double skulls early on turn 1 to put myself under pressure heh.
I kick, and my opponent has an unlucky start and I swarm him and steal the ball. I throw it back to my backfield. He is spread out all over and I go for my score. Just need a quick pass with my Thrower to set it up. What Ido I get? Snakes again! Lose the ball, he scores instead.
With 4 turns left in the game, I decided to drag it out and play for the draw rather than risk a win or loss by a 2 turn score.
Well, I think I outplayed my opponent most of the game, but the dice (though he had bad luck too) were just too lopsided and gave me too many snake eyes and 1s.
A pretty bad game for the team as the majority of the SPP went to players I can't afford to age/niggle and I lost a FF.
Oh well, no injuries at least and my opponent was a good sport so I look forward to playing him again sometime.”
