“In blizzard conditions which suited the Norsemen, Rumpus 8 were given a lesson in Blood Bowl. An astonishing display from Raiders star thrower Rasmussen was the highlight of the game. The Rookie of the year nomination is sure to follow.
Two nil up at half time the Raiders received the ball at the start of the second half. The front line hit the Chaos team and smashed a hole but there was lots of work to be done with the ball deep in the Raider's territory. Rasmussen kicked and stepped past his marker like he wasn't there, showing incredible dexterity on the ice covered pitch. He hit another perfect pass to Varhl who swept through the gap, dodging the weak tackles and handed off to Benny who strolled in unopposed. Worth the entrance fee alone.

That was one of the two contenders for TD of the season. The other was set up by superb play from Erik, snatching the ball from under the putrid noses of two Beastmen. He then had the poise to escape two tackles and stroll over the line unopposed.

Benny had opened the scoring in the first half and was disappointed not to complete his first hat trick at senior level. Fiona Ogre won the battle of the Big Guys but the match was peppered by Grumpus mistakes. Single-man tackles, slipping on ice (who'd of thought ice would be slippery?) and basically playing badly. Their consolation TD was scored long after the business end of the match had been concluded.

In answer to the question "Are you likely to get an easier match all season?" coach Hepworthnot said "I expect so, we're due to play them again."
Nobody bothered to speak to Coach Creekmoorcrusader.
