“This was just one of those games that seemed impossible to win. After a good start, the lads found it unbelievably difficult to get the ball. Every time the ball scattered it landed at the feet of a mummy. And second half, at 1-0 up, we failed every dodge we needed to make. It was the second failed dodge that was the killer, though the first failed dodge set it up. After the problems in the first half, we'd set up a safeguard just in case the dodge out from the mummy failed, but unfortunately once again, the ball went in the only direction that could doom us...at the mummy's feet! I think that was the last straw, we couldn't even escape downfield to pressure the stall. Bit of a fizzer and unfortunately not the exciting match we were both looking forward to. SM's boys did well to secure the draw though, apart from a couple of slipups early first half, they did all the right things for the rest of the game.

It was all too much for that mean mother of an elf Glacial Warden though, he aged immediately after the game.

3pts: Bound and Pleading
I'm not sure who is who really. All these bandages look the same. But both mummies seemed to possess so much gravitation, the ball couldn't escape them. Neither could the elves. So many failed dodges trying to get away which burned so rerolls. Actually, thats not quite correct. Can't claim to have burned your rerolls if they did you no good anyway!

Had a pretty useful game. Among his moments was a successul blitz on the ball carrier first half, the 1st turn trip (snake eyes) on my lineelf 2nd half that turned the game on its head. Add to that safe hands with the ball and he probably should have been up there with 3 votes for the match. But the curse of the mummies was to last beyone this game...”
