What a magnificent game for the Dash as they were sent off for the Blitz Invitational with a huge success game and heavily favored to win the Championship this round.

Th Dash kicked off first as the pouring rain became a blizzard which froze over the pitch for most of the game. Star Huamn Blitzer Dodi who had twice increased his agility was waiting for the ball in the backfield as the rest of Team Evel Knivel set out to smash the Wood Elves. But the Woodies struck first, knocking a Blitzer off the pitch in a chain crowdpush. Although it was on the opposite side of the ball, it would prove to be important for later on.

The next turn, Ogre El Ante killed poor Linelf Sonpool, who had increased his strength; but he was luckily not too dead as he was saved by the team's apothecary. This too was important for later on in the match.

With time running out, and with Dodi still hidden in the backfield, the Dash managed to crowdpush another Human resulting in a stun again. This enabled the play to open up and somehow, the once deceased Sonpool, no longer the focus of the Ogre's attention, found a gap at which to blitz Dodi. But it resulted in only a pushback. The next turn before Dodi could dodge away or help could reach him, El Fungito was stunned in a one dice block effort against Thrower Keelian. This allowed Sonpool a second chance at getting the ball and he was able to knock out Dodi. Keelian rushed in to get the ball, waltzing around Ogre El Ante, who was too busy picking his nose to remember to tackle Keelian. With another knock out that turn, there was no one left in the vicinity to stop the touchdown. So, the Dash stalled in the blizzard, much to coach Majsalvedon's dismay, until the last turn of the half. In order to get Sonpool a new skill, Keelian had handed the ball off to him and he then scored. Halftime: 1 - 0 Woodland Dash

With the Dash recieving the ball in the second half, the game seemed in the bag. The Dash rushed forward and covered Team Evel Knivel's side of the pitch with green jerseys against the white blanket of snow and ice on the grass. But the Humans were not out yet. They managed to get two tackle zones on Thrower Keelian, forcing him to dodge through a gap created by Treeman Bodanteal and pass to Catcher Tautologon. The team then was able to stall for a turn again when captain Wardancer Orkanhime stunned the only player close enough to stop the touchdown. But after one turn of stalling, and much unhappiness by coach Majsalvedon, the Dash had mercy (and brains to not get fouled) and scored, ensuring Tautologon would get a new skill afterwards. 2 - 0 Woodland Dash

The Humans knew they would have to respond quickly in order to tie the game, and through some well placed blocks, a quick pass, and a hand-off, they scored in two turns. 2 - 1 Woodland Dash

Now, with four turns remaining, the Dash had to put the game away, or stall. But both coaches had had enough of stalling, so the Dash knew they had to score. The sky finally cleared and it became a nice day. The ice thawed out and players could actually throw farther. This gave the Dash an advantage, as now longer passes coul be made. Once again, the Dash started off the same as their last possesion; and once again, the Huamns were able to get a tackle zone right in front of Thrower Keelian. However, this time, he was so far back, that it would take some backtracking by his team-mates to help him. His savior was Linelf Hizim, who dodged to get to him. Once Keelian was free of pressure, he rushed up field and made another completion to Catcher Tautologon, who immediately ran it in for a third and final touchdown. 3 - 1 Woodland Dash

The kick was perfect as Team Evel Knivel had to race far back to get the ball. And their last re-roll was spent trying to pick it up. This meant that when Lineman El Fungito dropped the necessary pass, the Dash was able to swarm in and steal the ball away. There were too many bodies around the ball and not enough time for the Humans to score. Thus the game ended without furthur injuries: 3 - 1 Woodland Dash

Coach Oblitzamanger, after holding a huge and great sacrifice to Nuffle on the still slushy pitch after the game, gave us these quotes:

"I am very proud of my team and they are definate favorites to win the Blitz Invitational. They performed well and didn't get injured. I would also like to thank coach Majsalvedon for the game. Although he was complaining about the stalling, I didn't mind, and actually, although I used it very wisely, I am actually kinda sorry for doing it. I would like to state my reasons for stalling here though. I stalled for nearly half of the first half because we were still in a blizzard and I wasn't very sure how well my team could pull off another score or prevent one from occuring. And my one turn stall in the second half paid off as it took just the right amount of time off the clock to prevent a second score. However, I am still sorry it bothered my new (drunken) friend and wish him the best of luck with his team, and hope he enjoyed himself."

The Dash leanred three new skills after the game. Catcher Tautologon leanred Block; +St Linelf Sonpool learned Block too; and Linelf Leptrond learned Kick. The team also trained very hard in the lead up to the Blitz Invitational and got their fourth re-roll as a result. They also earned 20 points for the Blitz Invitational from this game and thus took first place in the second round so far, beating out the Shadow Bite in a tiebreaker. If their score stands, they would end up in the Stomp Match, and most likely in the Finals. The team is looking very good and is pre-paring for the Blitz Invitational with new vigor.
