“The Jungle Slash, which just recently won the Blitz Invitational, resumed their quest for the Championship and swore to defend their title to the death. And they proved that they were indeed the Champions in their match today as they ran over a Skaven team 3 - 0, earning two skills and 40k.

They recieved first, and immediately formed a cage around Thrower Jessica, after Linewoman Rachael made a pass to her; that 1 SPP allowed her to learn Block after the match. The cage battled it's way upfield. Somehow, it always was able to reform after the blocks and push through the Skaven. The biggest victory for the Slash was when +Ma +Ag Linerat Warg Mors was knocked out in a failed dodge trying to bust the cage open. He never woke up for the rest of the match. When the Skavenpit Stranglers rushed everyone they had left at the cage, the girls knew they had to score right away. So, after a blitz which cleared the path, Jessica passed it to Blitzer Kayla (who was right next to her, but just for the SPP) and Kayla ran it in for a touchdown. 1 - 0 Jungle Slash

The Slash set up for a short kick for they knew it would be close to the LoS with Lindsay's Kick skill. But much to ther luck, they were allowed to perfect their defense, which gave the Stranglers no chance to score. In fact, despite their best efforts, the frontloaded frontline of the Slash managed to break through and Kayla blitzed to knock the ball from Gutter Runner Vorquol Eshin. With rats falling down all over the place, more girls came to help. But a misclick at a horrible time by coach Tias_Dk allowed the Slash to basically score. All Kayla had to do was blitz her way into the endzone on turn 8. 2 - 0 Jungle Slash

Another short kick started the second half. The Stranglers decided to leave their Gutter Runner ballcarrier exposed with a guard next to it. But the Slash rushed in to block the way and a blitz was thrown out of the way of the guard. But, only a pushback resulted. However, Catcher Anastasia, who was behind enemy lines, blitzed again and popped the ball free, only for it to go another Gutter Runner, this one running away. Anastasia followed suit, but was again only able to pushback the ballcarrier, who ran away again, this time upfield. However, there were several Amazons who were able to rush to the area as fast as posible, as this time, Anastasia knocked the Gutter Runner down. The ball bounced to the crowd, and the crowd jeering and hissing at the Stranglers, threw the ball back at them. Thrower Jessica however was able to pick up the ball in the empty backfield. The Stranglers blitzed her, but both combatants were knocked out by the blows. After a blitz to clear the ball of the last tackle zone, Kayla once again rushed in, got the ball, and rushed out, as she then scored on the next turn, completing her Hat Trick. 3 - 0 Jungle Slash

Sadly, since Kayla had been killed during the course of the game and had been saved by the apothecary, the apothecary was not able to save Linda from suffering a fractured leg and niggling injury. But Kayla learned Stand Firm, and with 40k, it won't be long until coach Oblitzamanger can replace her.

Coach Oblitzamanger said this to us after the game. "I would like to thank coach Tias_DK for the game. I enjoyed it and I hope he did too. I thought the girls played very well and lived up to their potential today. The Woodland Dash may just have to watch out, as these girls are out to defend their Championship."

After that, coach Oblitzamanger ran off to the center of the pitch to make a sacrifice to Nuffle. It may have been the most expensive sacrifice done yet by coach Oblitzamanger, although not his best.”
