“The Jungle Slash took to the pitch in what was their third crushing performance in a row, winning this one as the last two 3 - 0. But, this time, there were no skills learned. However, with the whopping amount of money the team recieved, coach Oblitzamanger purchased Linewoman Liara to bring their numbers to 14 healthy players. The team also trained really hard together which increased their re-rolls by one, bringing them to 6. The team looks dominant in the Blitz Invitational as they earned 20 points and moved into a solid 3rd place. And with 2 games in hand, they may just beat out the Woodland Dash for first place.

The game started as Linewoman Lindsay placed a great kick into the Viking's back corner. Quadruple skulls ended their first turn and the Slash swarmed in. Amazon Catcher Molly chased Norse Thrower Mike Vick deep into the backfield, only pushing him back. He was able to dodge and pass out of danger. However, the new ballcarrier was not well protected and as Linewoman Avery knocked him out, the ball bounced to Molly who grabbed it. Aid immediately came to help protect her and when the Viking's Ogre failed his block (the Ogre today was useless and very harmful to coach Bond_007x's plans), she ran as the others screened her. The next turn she scored a touchdown, 1 - 0 Jungle Slash.

By halftime, the Norse apothecary had been used on a failed dodge, and a crowdpush had left Blitzer Han Kranker out of the game and the next one too. But the Norsemen were still able to field 11 players as they kicked off to the Amazons. They knew they had to get the ball off of them and score back before it was all over. The fact that it had been very sunny all game, and would continue to be very sunny until it ended, only helped the Norsemen.

The Slash formed a cage around Thrower Jessica and several possible recievers tried to break into the Viking's half. Just as the cage was broken, Catcher Anastasia broke free and Jessica darted forward to pass it to her for almost a sure touchdown. However, when she looked up to make the pass, the sun got in her eyes and blinded her so bad she fumbled the ball! But, since the Slash had more players in the immediate area, they won the fight for the ball after crowdpushing +Ag Blitzer Guy Strong, which knocked him out so good, he never came back. Jessica was then able to just pick up the ball and hand it off to Anastasia, who then scored. 2 - 0 Jungle Slash

Once again, when the Ogre failed it's block, the Slash moved. They covered up the holes and didn't allow the Norsemen to get through their line. Jessica intercepted the rushed pass which was rushed because the pass was forced. This being the Slash's first interception couldn't have come at a better time. Although the Slash didn't need the ball at that point to win, Jessica still secured the ball by actually passing backwards to the flank where there was little opposition. Linewoman Lindsay ran to back her up as Amazon Blitzer Kayla broke her collar bone in a silly one dice block and had to have the apothecary save her for the second game in a row.

Norse Blitzer Moe Jason blitzed rookie Blitzer Caroline against the sideline and used his strip ball skill to knock it out of bounds. The crowdthre it to the endzone maybe as a hint of what they wanted to see next. Sure enough, Lindsay dodged out of trouble and picked up the ball in the endzone. 3 - 0 Jungle Slash

The Norsemen failed to come back as Cacther Molly intercepted the last pass of the game, giving the Slash their second interception. The entire game, Norsemen Vikings III didn't even manage to get the ball across the LoS with one of their players holding it. The Slash was the total dominant team, as they have been as of late. However, luck was definately on their side and coach Oblitzamanger had a huge sacrifice after the game to Nuffle, by which Nuffle was pleased.

Coach Oblitzamanger said this after the game. "I want to thank coach Bond_007x for the match. I wish him good luck with his team and happy return to fumbbl! I hope he enjoyed the game even though it must have been very frustrating to see Nuffle beat down his players like PlayDoh. I really do understand what that is like and I've been beaten by worse scores than this, so I understand and apologize for any negative behaviour that may have helped ruin the fun for him. I know that he just wanted the game to be over at halftime. I am sorry about this, but only Nuffle has control over the game."

"The girls did very fine. They once again didn't pick up any injuries and got a crapload of money. Although I am a little dissapointed with none of them learning skills, many of them are now very close to earning their second skill. So, in just two games, I think they will be in prime form for the Blitz Invitational and may even win it for the second time in a row!"”
