When presented with one TRR Ogres to win the Hardupp Cupp Group, coach Purplegoo thought "OK, we may win, but the cost in players may be high."
To be honest, what followed is the sort of game that you never want, one totally decided by the dice.
Truth is, I'll never know what a 50/50 game between the two teams would have ended up like, the reality was a game where the Skaven (to my knowledge) didn't miss a single dodge, block or GFI, and the Ogres missed absolutely everything. 63-51% is really wrong in the overall scheme of things.
I wish Big-Al all the luck in the world in the future, and hope the next time we meet that the dice are fair and the best coach wins, because on this evidence, who knows?!
On a side note - the Skaven advance as group winners, and hope to take the knockout stages by storm!! ”
#1 toe touches – Smashed Knee (NI) #1 toe touches – Broken Ribs (MNG) #4 kick flip – Broken Ribs (MNG) #16 Ken – Broken Ribs (MNG)
“TOugh way to go out of a tournament. The Bashbruthers needed to keep the score down for a shot at advancing. Even a loss would send it to a tie breaker w/ the Zons in our division. Attempting Shock and Awe tactics teh ogres didn't manage to slow down the opponents at all. The little goblins were no match for the claws of those vermin. Overall a disappointing game for the Ogres.
Purplegoo plyed excellently and a few critical rolls went his way. THe outcome was never in question . Just the score.
Purplegoo best of luck on hunting the trophy! Hopefully you can replace the player you lost!”
