“The Jungle Slash came across an opponent who actually was challenging and drove the Slash to a frustrating 1 - 1 draw. However, the girls earned a new skill and 11 points for the Blitz Invitational, which puts them just 2 points out of claiming first place in their next game; a casualty away.

The Slash kicked off first and got a Blitz! result. But they overcommited and the Skaven, once thier dauntless Gutter Runners picked off the ball, ran right around the few Amazons left in the backfield and formed a cage. The Slash was unable to both backtrack and break the cage as the Skaven cruised to an easy touchdown. 1 - 0 Time for a little something

The Slash was close to getting the equalizer on the last turn before halftime, but Nuffle was not on coach Oblitzamanger's side that day as they failed the dice rolls to even get to the ball after they knoced it out of the Skaven's furry paws. Halftime: 1 - 0 Time for a little something

But the Slash rebounded and formed a cage right in the middle of the Skaven's backfield. Sure enough, they pounced on the cage, but it was too far deep in the half to prevent a score as Amazon Thrower Jessica passed it to Blitzer Caroline who then blitzed her way through the last line of defense to score. 1 - 1

A short kick which forced a failed pass enabled the Slash to jumble up any plans the Skaven had for offense until a Gutter Runner slipped away through 2 tackle zones twice. With one turn to go, the Slash tried desperately to get the ball back and score. Somehow, they knocked out the Gutter Runner, which denied the touchdown against the Slash. Then, they only had to dodge, pick up, long pass, catch and score with a re-roll. However, Nuffle decided again it was not the Slash's time to succeed as he evened the score at 1's when the intended thrower failed her dodge. Final: 1 - 1

Time for a little something had scored the first touchdown on the Slash since their win the the Blitz Invitational. Also, this was the fist game not to end 3 - 0 since they won the Championship. Despite the girls being dissapointed, coach Oblitzamanger was quite enthused.

"I just told them that they couldn't win every one. They didn't understand that because they had won so many games lately. But they will in time. I am kind of worried about Samira, the captain. She has many activist ideas and hates losing, or drawing for that matter. Her attitude may just rip the team apart right before their almost sure win the Blitz Invitational for the second time in a row. We'll just have to see, and I'll have to make sure they don't rip me apart next pratice!

He was cut off as Samira had overheard what he had said and was dragging him to the lockeroom. He yelped and screamed but no one was able to help him...

On other news, it is rumored that he taught Thrower Jessica how to block better, her second skill. If these rumors prove true, he may still be alive...

The team has just one more game until the Blitz Invitationals and are preparing for their defense of the title.”
