“Going into this cross-divisional NFL matchup, the Bears were 0/0/3, and yet to score a TD. There was no reason for optimism either, playing up 23 points of TS, and having barely 11 players against the Undead hordes....

My handicap was smelling salts - just as well!

The Undead received, got an extra TRR and drove comfortably to score in 4 turns, killing the human Ogre on the way (apo save - phew!). The resulting kickoff result was a Blitz! and the Bears were already thinking it was another one of those games in this tournament. Turn 5, and Edison was Ko'd, Frink dead, and the ball on the floor. Not good. Somehow Curie, the ag4 star of this team, managed to get to the ball, and threw the long bomb in Planck's general direction. A failed dodge from a Ghoul and pickup later and he was in! The Bears rejoiced their first NFL TD!

Second half, the 9 man Bears received, and immediately a rock was thrown from the Undead section of the crowd, stunning the Ogre. 1 Mummy block and a BH later and the writing was on the wall. Or was it? Three turns and some more ag4 wizardry, this time through unlikely dodges, and the Bears had a shock lead. Could they hold on? Alas, another kickoff, another rock, another stun, and they couldn't quite hold on. In turn 16, Nirrty the Undead Ghoul emerged from a scrum of 5 human TZ's to tie it up as time expired....

We fought hard, and it's the best result the Bears have had to date! Well played to Kanzo, and gl in the rest of the tournament. The Bears move on with renewed hope.
