The game was played between the unfortunate Dark Elven 'Executioners' Last Chance' and the sneaky goblin team 'Da Bombs'. Because neither of the teams are any popular, they were forced to have the bout in the middle of the night. A few brave spectators arrived, some meager 7,000, to watch the carnage. The gates opened, and in marched the proud Dark Elves side-by-side to the scrawny goblins, although, a slight hint of uncertainty could be noticed in the eyes of some of the elven players, because the goblins, somehow, had managed to convince not one, but two ogres to join them. One can only imagine what kind of promises the ogres had been given in case of a victory - perhaps the feast of their opponents?

The coin was tossed and the goblins won it, although the elven coach protested and claimed that the referee was on the bribe. But none listend to these claims! The goblins decided to receive the kick, and so, the game started. Because of the night and the pitch darkness, the initial kick was oversent quite the distance, and ended up in the masses, or rather, the lack of masses, of the crowd. None of the elven players appeared too happy about this, especially not with the leering grins of the goblins. At the spot, they vowed vengence for the taunting words!

The goblins, having received the ball from the crowd, started their advance, but failed to gain much yards, as the dark elves viciously attacked their blockers relentlessly and knocked down a few of them. But the goblins were not too bothered by this, as they outnumbered the elves. Where one was struck down, another two were eager to take his place, or not eager perhaps. After some time of both teams delivering punches against each other, the ogres finally decided to participate in the brawl, but through the ferocity of the Witch Elf Dalphia Spineskewer, one of the ogres was knocked down, and as the second ogre was about to retaliate, he was tripped and fell to the ground like a mighty tree caught in a powerful storm.

Taking advantage of this momentum, the elves pushed forward and, eventually, managed to get hold of the ball. Several elves rushed the goblin ball carrier, and, through panic, he threw it, or rather, handed it over, to the advancing elves. Caleb d'Eros, the star player of the dark elf team, successfully threw a short pass to Alwor Weatherbeaten, who ran for a touchdown. 1-0! The crowd went berserk as the elegant dark elves posed after the touchdown, which resulted in a riot. Eventually, the game got started again.

Another kick off, another poor result. The ball scattered just up beside the middle line where a goblin stood. Greedy as the goblins are, he rushed for it, but was, unfortunately, tripped once more by a dark elf player who had managed to intercept. The elven player picked up the ball and advanced towards the endzone, but alas, was cowardly ambushed by three goblins that teamed up and knocked him out! The ball was yet again in the hands of the goblins, but before being able to carry it too far, it was fumbled. A dark elf picked up the ball and rushed for another easy touch down. However, with an amazing luck, a goblin managed to run past two dark elf guards, and carried his momentum into the dark elf carrier. The dark elf was knocked out cold, and the ball scattered to the goblins again, but alas, before they would manage to get a chance to score, it was halftime.

The second half was more a battle rather than a game. The two ogres, angry for them being humiliated earlier, wanted to taste some of the dark elf players and attacked one. But the referee would not tolerate it, and ordered an ogre to be booted from the game. He was escorted out by several heavily armoured knights! This seemed to ignite something in the small goblins and they too attacked the elves viciously and knocked out another two during the following sequences. The elven team was decimated to five players, versus the goblins 11. It looked grim enough. But since it was the dark elves turn to receive the kick, it became, more or less, a chase after the ball, or at least for those that were not busy attacking an unconscious elf.

The dark elf thrower, Caleb d'Eros advanced up the left flank, and attempted an heroic throw. But, again by insane luck, a goblin managed to intercept it! But as the goblin attempted to get away from a nearby elf, he was knocked down, and the ball was in the possession of the elves again, who continued along the left flank. Just a few feet away from a second touchdown, a goblin managed to tripp the elf carrier, and the ball went up into the crowd again. Somehow, it was thrown down onto the right flank, closer to the goblins. They went for it and attempted a throw to the remaining ogre. But he was too busy attempting to put on his knuckles that an elf managed to pick up the ball that hit the ogre in the back of his neck. The dark elf sprinted for the goal line again but again was knocked down by a goblin. Now, it was mere seconds left of the game, the elves still leading 1-0, but the goblins had the ball, and had a clear path to the endzone, only if the goblin carrying the ball would manage the final throw. It all came down to this. The entire game being decided in the last second of the last play. The crowd was in the greyzone of hysteria, the coaches starting to make pacts to darker gods. Only four elves of the proud ten that entered had the strength of actually standing up but were too far away to stop the throw. Then, the goblin threw the ball, everyone following its wake with an eager eye. The goblin catcher leapt high into the air, but alas, the throw was too high. The ball only grazed the goblin's fingertips before hitting the ground with a loud thud. The game was over. The match had ended. The Executioners' Last Chance defeated Da Bombs with 1-0!

This is what Caleb d'Eros, the star player of Executioners' Last Chance, had to say: "Bloody vicious critters, those goblins are, indeed! Only four of us left standing after the end signal. But there was never a doubt of the outcome, though. We dominated the entire field and they spent most their time chasing after the ball. However, it is slightly disturbing that so many of us were taken out of the game. If this keeps up and the team continues to show such a remarkable disloyalty to the team, I will have 'em sent back to Har Ganeth to be, uhm, sacked."
