“It was a close match on paper with the Squeakers having 6 players with niggles, but the when only the weakest of the niggled Squeakers (a Lineman with Kick Block and Tackle) failed to turn up for the match, the Arsta by Night were in trouble.

The Squeakers started in offence and after some initial clumsiness where a pass was dropped, managed to take an early lead.

The Arsta by Night then had great difficulty advancing the ball forwards, with both sides winning and losing the ball repeatedly, and at the end of the first half, the Squeakers were leading by 1.

At the start of the second half, the Squeakers blitzed their opposition and won the ball! However, they got fancy and tried to get one of their Storm Vermins to score instead of scoring immediately with a Gutter Runner. The Arsta by Night were then able to recover the ball and sent it all the way down the other end of the pitch despite it being a very difficult play (a few dodges, long pass etc).

The Squeakers knocked the ball loose, but the Arsta by Night recovered and were just about to run in an equaliser when their would be scorer tripped over her own shoe laces and seriously injured herself (-1 AG). The ball spilt free and the Squeakers managed to win the ball and convert the possession into a 2-0 lead.

With limited time left, the Arsta by night were forced to play with abandon if they were to score a consolation TD. This left big gaps in the field for the Squeakers to exploit as the Dark Elves fumbled yet another pass and the final score was a 3-0 win for the Squeakers.

Condolences to the opposing coach who had some rotten luck during the game, rolling a lot of 1s at crucial times, and also getting blitzed.
