Behemoths started with the ball and marched it up field as instructed. The dwarfs managed to get the ball back, but it was temporary as the Chaos scored in the fifth turn.
The Dhumehammars then pounded some chaos into the ground for the rest of the half, but were unable to score due to a flubbed pass as they had to hurry to score.
The second half saw the Dhumehammars again pound some chaos to the turf but were unable to break armor. With a couple of dodgy-stand firm types they Behemoths were able to apply pressure to the dwarfen Runner and forced him to pass the ball. which fell promptly to the turf to be collected by a warrior for the 2-0 score.
Lots of bashing in this game. Very few double skulls rolled for either side. Chaos kick-offs were all brilliantly placed, landing in extremely inopportune places for the dwarfs on each of their three receptions.
Good gritty game coach! Well fought and we'll see you on the pitch again. Hopefully this is a prelude to the Eskies-Lions game tonite!!
Cheers mate”
“I know when I've been outplayed. :) The little guys just couldn't make much happen. The Chaos Warriors were very effective at tieing up my dwarves and always mananged to find their way to the poor little runner with the ball.
My throws were desparate attempts to make something happen so it was no suprise that most of them ended up a fumbles.
Still, earned enough for a reroll, finally got myself a kicker and didn't lose a fan factor, so all in all not a bad haul. Onion King showed us all that a bunch of guardy dwarves aren't that scary after all. :) Good luck in the final. Looks like my Dhumehammars are graduating out of the 145 Club! Onto bigger and better! I hope that doesn't mean bigger and better opponents...
Good game!”
