“Well this was probably for the conference win.. well done OB. The KFC boys did some smart culling to grab themselves a handicap.. obviously trying for a virus that would have wiped my team out. All it did was provide a seventh reroll... yeah all. Thankfully both teams realised the importance of this clash and all 7 nigglers made it onto the pitch.
I tried I tried. Got the early TD.. and with a bit of luck may have just pulled this one off. Kick would have been handy of course.. something to definately look into. Caprishan was killed early, and with a niggling injury already it was team managements decision to wave away the apothecary. He fouled, he blocked, he blitzed, I tried to stay away and look for openings but with so much guard and standfirm it was rare for me to get a shot at the surehands ball carrier. Why give the little pukes sure hands.. they are almost unstoppable as it is when played well.. and then you take away my stripballing options.. and it comes standard :( Must admit I enjoyed coming up against dwarfs with a bit more agility compared to my poor lizards from Euc Bowl.. sadly I couldnt stop the relentless drives.. OB as expected scoring late in each half. That said I had 2 good opportunities where I did manage to free up the ball, the first Talaban only just got to, in hindsight I should have tried to absorb the blitz perhaps, but instead opted for the all or nothing play.. having already used the reroll I tried to throw a long bomb to the only "Echoes" player who hadnt moved.. one of the catchers.. who would have been able to score... but sadly fumbled. The even better chance came later. Talaban sadly burnt the reroll on a skulled 1 dice blitz, I had my free reciever and my 5 Ag lineman in position to sweep around and pick up the ball, but sadly on his only tackle dodge (he has dodge skill) he rolled a 1... and I knew I couldnt do it. Deaths and SI's were the norm early on.. thankfully there wasnt any more damage with both DP's sent off. Too tough mate too tough.

3 Votes to #2 Slayer Stephen - Too big too strong. Leaving Big Bad Bill the onerous task of tree felling, he went after some squishy elves.. and with his tackle skill.. boy oh boy did he get them. A scary Scary dwarf. A Pint for you Laddy.
2 Votes to #6 Tony Twinkletoes - The better of the two Runners I thought. Used his extra agility well, and his Block skill was probably handier than Colin Sanders dodge skill in the overall washup. A well deserved Schooner.
1 Votes to #9 Jim Handy - A long beard deserves a vote as it was they that laid the platform for the win.. soo much guard.. so much standfirm.. frankly I dont believe I broke armour once. He gets the Middy thanks to the Kill.”
“3pts: Talaban, after losing the other dancer early on in the first half it was up to talaban to carry out the remainder of the blitzez for the first half, in the second half had he been able to clean up the ball and pass it the Singers would have been right on note for the W.
2pts: Anwar, with agility 5 and guard he managed to get inside and assist on the big play for the second half. Also if only he hadnt fallen over while trying to get the ball he would have been worthy of the 3pts.
1pt: Ra-Hel, soaked up numerous fouls which if applied to elves could have been a dissaster for the Singers.
sidenote: Touchstone, scored then spent most of the rest of the time lingering around hoping that the Singers could have gotten him the ball, like they have all season long. ”
