“The first game of the league was a relatively uneventful one. Waterfowl received the initial kickoff, and scored on about turn 6 of the first half. In the meantime, the Nasties decided to attempt a foul, and the player got ejected. A Waterfowler, not knowing to leave well enough alone, attempted a foul in retribution and also got ejected.

Apparently Waterfowl's fans thought the game was going too slowly and without enough bloodshed, so they threw a rock at the Nasties and killed one of their wank beastmen. Surprisingly enough that was the only casualty of the game, despite a handful of knockouts, a bunch of stunners, and a couple more friendly fouls.

The second score came when the Nasties' beast rolled a skull and skull/pow, and thus the turn ended early. This allowed Waterfowl to infiltrate the opposing pitch, knock over the ballcarrier, and run in for a relatively quick TD. The rest of the game was spent failing to pick up and/or pass the ball.

All in all a good game, and Waterfowl's runner with sure hands added pass to his skill list. Their fan base also grew, but not enough revenue was generated to even afford an apothecary. Hopefully next week's match against the Choir won't result in any injuries either.
