“The Rats faced another team of evil Dark Elves, with 2 Rats missing the game.

A quick exchange of touchdowns saw the game go to 2-2, but while the Elves were making plays with ease, the Rats were struggling, as players started to leave the field in droves.

Most of the line ups in the second half had the Rats down to 7 or less, but their teeth gritted they tried to hang on, despite players leaving the field, 2 BH from GFI attempts, but at last it paid off, the ball carrying Elf fell trying for an extra square, and a gutter runner, dodged out, collected the ball and threw it down field for another Gutter to run in and score, the turning point in the game 4-2 to the Rats.

The game was not over there, the Elves scored again, then late in the game, the Rats surrounded tried one dodge to many and dropped the ball into the crowd which was promptly throw to the middle of the field, ready for the Elves to collect. To the relief of the Rats coach, the Elf reaching the ball failed the pickup and the game finished 4-3.

A tense game, but a fun one against a friendly opponent, who although had failed to win the game, at least was able to console himself with the many SPP's gained.”
