“Im so annoyed we had a dropout in this game because this was one of the teams finest moments. Up against a full strength Necro team, a virus struck "Echoes" team managed to pull of one of the most unlikely of victories.. mostly on the back of one man. Our new Hall of Famer Touchstone. He was everywhere. justbob tried his best.. but this Wood Elf Catcher was simply unstoppable tonight. Pendar was Ko'd by a rock early and we were essentially starting 7 strong. After some fumbling at the back by the Theatre, Baj who had a pretty crummy game allround managed to pick off a key intercept... handing it off to Touchstone in tackle zones.. for the legend to streak away for the opener. The next drive justbob got just right.. and without our stripballer there was little we could do to wrest possession away from them. Eventually they had the temerity to hand off to Harry Putrid for a fine Zombie TD. 1-1 anyones game and well stalled by justbob. But what ho.. a quick snap.. and suddenly Touchstone was edging closer to the endzone. A fine bit of positioning and a line of scrimmage block later and he was within range, cheekily recieving the pass from Rzak Xhen.. and slipping past the rows of Undead in the backfield for the teams first ever one turn TD. Oh did I mention in the early exchanges Touchstone Blitzed and killed Benny Braingorger.. who sadly regenerated :) but is Touchstone destined for an unlikely Silver Fists award? 2nd half we did our thing.. Justbob perhaps going after the wrong catcher putting down Rzak but leaving Touchstone standing where he promptly scored. The next drive came the simply awe inspiring play of the game (sorry justbob by the way) I cant have had many on the field, 3 were KO'd I think, I had to use every player I had except the tree, Groth Paleflesh the mighty Aberration Ghoul had the ball at the back of a mish mash of teammates. I used a couple of go for its with lineman and Rzak to garner two assists, another two gfi's to cover a defensive assist, before Touchstone dodged through three tackle zones .. three times to Blitz Groth.. smashing the blodging brute to the ground and badly hurting him, not following up, he dodged to the ball square, retrieved it, dodged back through more tackle zones and headed upfield.. 10 squares from the endzone. this mighty play wasnt finished yet. On the aberration turn.. a Zombie was send to lend an assist, before one of the werewolves charged in for the blitz.. the Tackling Mork Blackhelm being overlooked I found out later so he could retrieve the ball with his higher agility. Well the wolf failed to put our hero down, who sidestepped upfield and away from the zombie, werewolf stumbling to make the second 1 dice block.. before rolling a single skull. Within range now Touchstone was able to canter away for his 4th TD.. and the win. Again the next drive aberration theatre proved they knew what they were doing.. and while we became frustrated by the drop out.. and the lost replay, they managed a very nice consolation TD this time more cheek.. the Flesh Golem Macrame.. who picked up the MVP for good measure. One turn for me.. and so without help from the kickoff Touchstone went on a suicide run up to the Aberration backfield to try to sidestep through for a 5th... Macrame was having none of his foppery, smashing him to the ground with ease. Hooray.. we made it to Premier.. and will finish most likely 2nd in the conference.. damn OB, but slim hopes of 1st rest on the shoulders of the other Necro team AMCW. This game and Touchstone non aging make up for his showboating in game 1 which cost Karesh Var his life... he has proved himself to the team.. and shouldered the burden his foolishness has caused, Thanks for the game Justbob, bit more luck, or a bit less for me, and it would have been a hell of a lot closer, your two TD drives prove you are a force to be reckoned with when simple things dont stuff up. See you in Premier hopefully sometime (gulp if im still there).

3 Votes to #8 Macrame - This big pile of too many corpses had a strong game and was in the right place at the right time to pick up a TD. He gets the 3 for his crowd pleasing MVP and because he didnt cop Touchstone's shit in the last turn.
