“The Lizards lined up against the Chaos, knowing anything could happen in the game.

The recent lack of practice for the Lizards soon showed, after scoring early on the first drive, they then proceeded to fall apart. 4 Skink dodges were failed in a row, leaving the coach to question whether the Goblin team had been into the dressing room and put slime on their shoes as a joke. The Chaos moved their way up the pitch (watching Skinks slip all around them) to score at he end of the first half 1-1.

The second half was little better for the Lizards, who despite trying to pressure the Chaos defence, just could not seem to get their acto together. However, late in the half a chance did present itself, but the Saurus looking to clear a path rolled 2 skulls, rerolled and rolled skulls again, then fell to the floor, more I suspect to hide his shame than through any injury.

Despite all this the Lizards were left with one final chance to hit the ball carrier, who had seen off several blocks during the game, a lone skink ran up field to put in one last heroic block, but failed the GFI and fell flat on his face.

All in all, a fun game and certainly an unusual one, against a friendly coach. No permanent injuries which was also a boon, but after the game, several fans threw their tickets on to the pitch in disgust and the coach made it clear to the team that extra practice sessions would be coming up this week!”
