“The Rats lined up against the Norse, AV7 all over the place, the Rats had the speed and the Norse had the Strength.
The game started like any usual game, a Rat dying early on and then one of the gutter runners getting through to get the ball (after some blocking), 1-0 to the Rats.
Then however, the rest of the game took place. Skulls and ones for both sides, right up until the end of the half, then more in the second half, double skulls, double 1's, but at least the pain was shared by both sides. Near the end of the game normality returned and the usual mix of results started to show on the dice.
The Norse drive continued up the pitch and despite a few attempts at stopping it, including one final herioc attempt at a 2D block failing on a GFI, the Norse Str 5 catcher broke through to score for a justly equaliser.
A fun game, against a friendly coach, but a bizarre one and I doubt I will see that many skulls in one game again for a while ... unless I am playing Undead of course, and that's a whole different kind of skull!”
