“The Rats lined up, in unusual fashion against another team of Rats.
It's not often I play a mirror match up, but since there were few other teams on looking for a match, i was happy to accept. The team were slightly different, in the Cursed Crew having SPP laden gutter runners, while the Ext-RAT-errestrials had a more even spread of SPP's accross the team and a Rat Ogre.
The game started with the Crew receiving and almost straight away making some bad rolls, albeit far nothing bad enough to lose the ball. Then a chance for the Ext-RAT's appeared, they went for a blitz, got the the ball carried, GFI's failed, rerolled, the double skulled!
If i thought my early rolls were bad I was quickly given a lesson in when bad rolls at crucial times can do to a teams defence. The Crew ran threw to score 4 times, with little the defence (given their rolls) could do to stop it. They did managed a consolation TD late on, before the crew scored once more 5-1.
A fun game, at least for me, against a pleasant coach, but one I will remember for cringing at the rolls my opponent, without complaint, was handed out by Nuffle ... when the dice even themselves up, in some game, somewhere, they will be unstoppable.”
