“Malakai's third outing on the bloodbowl field occured as they were passing through a large wood of tall trees, tall enough to hide in at any size.
Most surprised was Malakai then, when scuttling from the undergrowth came marauding halflings intent on challenging anyone who wished to pass through their wood to a game. To the winner, free passage, to the loser, free lunch.
This seemed a fair deal to Malakai, although Hephaestus protested, suggesting there was more than met the eye in these little folk.
As it turned out, Hephaestus was right, as from behind the more stationary trees strode two large oaks, 'Treemen' thought Malakai... He had heard of them in his human days, and remembered their strength was legendary.
The game turned out to be largely one way traffic, as Malakai struck down three of the diminutive fellows. Lyonidus accounted for one more, and the contest was done. Hephaestus getting the winning touchdown, and Galadriel again claiming MVP.
So enraged was Phyrrus at his failure to achieve thusfar, he sprouted a large razor sharp claw and bayed for stronger opposition.
Malakai knew he would get his chance soon enough.
