#9 Charles Ward – Broken Ribs (MNG) #9 Charles Ward – Broken Neck (-AG)
“Well first of all, a sorry to Charles Ward. You had no skills and I wanted an extra place on the team, so I never used the apo on you, and then it didn't get used all game. Sorry.
I think I lost about 5 players in the space of 2 turns making the last minutes of this match absolutely unbearable. Luckily my plan of letting the skellies fumble the ball paid off and I came away with the win.
Zara was pretty ineffective the whole game except for that one block towards the end of the 2nd half that stunned a mummy and gave me the chance to blitz the ball carrier. Without that I was looking at a 1-1 draw and probably would have missed out on promotion.
“ Best player -Lord Malvern This was given on the grounds of 'positional annoyance' - every time I wanted to make a break, he was there!
Second best - Randolph Carter - 2 cas, 11 blocks - the stats say it all.
Third best - Calm catch, good run - and more great positional annoyance - he stopped TD runs about three times with some great D two dice against.
Good game all over, with the Mummies not handing out enough damage to counter the lack of agaility. They had a good run second half, too little, too late.
Lost a blitzer - ow!, but the money was good enough to repolish his magic run and block helmet and put it on the next candidate... ”

Whoo! Conference next season!”
