“Dwarfes vs Amazons. This matchup should be easy o predict.. And The Sevnez wasnt very happy about the setup. The only thing speaking for the amazons was the hired wizzard, which, as it turned out, had some serious impact on the game, even though he actually didnt do much. Only 1 down from the fireball since the other 2 dwarfes dodged it...


The gameplan was simple for the Sevenz.
1. Kick deep
2. Send a couple of hunters after the ball and
3. Protect the girls by bashing the dwarfes out of basecontact.

The wizz made the dwarfes spread out and create a fairly week line infront of the ball carrier and the zons bashed away and tried to get 2d blocks on the dwarven runner. A bundle of double skulls from both sides made the player positioning look rather week for both teams and it was flowing back and forth and then an early quadra skull left the dwarfen ball carrier open and the sevenz took the chance, got the ball and scored. The following kick resulted in a blitz and this basically sealed the game. Even tough the dwarfes managed to get out of trouble and the Sevenz didnt score the dwarfes did neither. A quick TD in the second, followed by some skill hunting by the dwarfes and then the dust settled the zons had won the game 4 to nothing. Ofcourse, a little less skill hunting from the dwarfes and the game would probably have ended 2-0 or 2-1 so the final result is rather miss leading.

As a conclusion the gameplan worked very well. The zons kept the dwarfes at bay. Fear of the wizzard made them unable to use their guards efficently and the zons kept their bashing ability to a minimum. Lots of luck with the kickoff table also helped and even though fouling from both teams were quite inafficient it gave the zons the upper hand even though they were usually short on people.
