The game was to be played in an abandoned bloodbowl stadium for a set 60 thousand crown prize, Malakai has been unwilling to reveal his return until he was sure of victory, and this made him uneasy at the oppositions lack of presence.

The opposition, Skaven team Eakaq Duodecimus blitzed onto the field with little warning, and before Malakai knew what was upon him, the rats had began their first play, they were held off by the superior numbers of the Pride, but it was close. Mere minutes later, the rat ogre of the skaven team, a beast nearly the size of Malakai himself, charged the minotaur in centrefield, play stopped as the two gargantuan players locked horns.
With a triumphant roar, Malakai badly hurt the rat ogre, and play continued. In the end, the Pride ran out 3-2 winners, mainly due to numbers, and a vicious blitz. Claws were sprouted, legs lengthened and Izual gained a ginourmous hand. Malakai felt ready for some human opposition.
