“Hard fought match between greenlings and the Ironhoofs. Truthahnz niggled out but i decided that I would need him so the Apo was gone before the first block was thrown. The orcs recieved (of course :)) and tried to use their lot of stand firm players to sneak along the sideline. The ball handling once didnt work as they tried a hand-off. I managed to get some players around the ball and stop the offense. Finally my ag4 player grabbed the pill but failed the dodge. But the offense of the orcs was heavily interrupted and they had to watch my own players who were waiting for the deadly pass. Unfortunately it never came... All in all a nice half with only one knocked-out beastman who got back in time for half two.
The kick was excellent (right in the corner deep, deep in my half). At least the Ironhoofs removed two players from the pitch with their very first blocks including the Troll who got killed but regenerated. Still the Irons had problems to control the match as the orcs were able to dodge like elfs with their many stand firm players. Especially together with break tackle even the Bobs manage to dance. The ors took over the ball two times in half two including a Bob who catched a scattered ball. Both times were short. The next blitzes brought back the ball to the Irons and finally they swarmed towards the enemy endzone. With the last block in turn seven Truthanz got injured (well he really didnt deserved it better, this pansy niggler) and will miss the next one. Trabbl showed what a solide thrower he is and brought the ball to his target. Hoasber danced around before entering the endzone! The deciding touchdown of the match was scored as the orcish artillery try failed to the landing of the goblin who was one square short.
Very good game against a challenging and funny opponent. Rematch anytime.
