"There is going to be a battle today," said Khorne.

"A battle? I'm so there," exclaimed Slaanesh.

"But what about our team? The Doom Professionals are playing today," protested Tzeentch.

"Well, Nurgle can stay behind and watch it, right Nurgle?" asked Khorne. He always picked on Nurgle.

"But I wanted to go to the battle too!" Nurgle protested.

"We need at least one God present there. It would be enough for them to win if just you were there, Nurgle," said Tzeentch.

"But I -" Nurgle tried to say.

"Good. Then it's settled. Let's go!" cried Slaanesh as they went off to battle.

Nurgle was left alone. "Just you, Nurgle?" he mocked. "I'll show them. I won't let any of their players do anyting right, and when my players are the heroes, they will not abandon me again. I even see a death for one of their players..." He thought evil thoughts as he decended to watch the game.

"Just hit em' hard boys!" yelled Coach Oblitzamanger as they took to the gridiron to kick off. "I hope they prayed today," he thought to himself. But the team seemed lackluster. They seemed almost... sick... However, Linger Grrealment and Selex Inboil, the two Nurgle followers, were pumped for the game. "I guess only Nurgle heard their prayers," thought the Coach as he prayed to Nuffle.

First, the Wood Elves ran around the pitch like crazy. The tired Beastmen could do nothing as they printed around the pitch effortlessly and even knocked out a few of the sick Beasts. But when Selex was KOed, Nurgle became mad at the rest of the team, and after the Woodies score, doomed them to have bad luck for the rest of the half. New Ogre Dur'lunk Evileye was killed in a block by the Treeman, but Nurgle thought that it was too harsh for the Ogre to die not even playing one game, so he allowed the apothecary to heal him and did not infect the wounds. Thus, at halftime, after much scrambling to recover the ball, they were unable to even get it into the other half. 1 - 0 Oblivion Woods

After halftime, the story was much the same. A failed pass from Nearto Surefire caused the ball to go loose right in front of a Treeman. But the Pros did something they were very good at, knocking opponents down, and thus, Linger escaped from the pile up and rushed downfield. Nurgle, seeing his chance, allowed Tzeentch follower Mashelk Strongrip to pick up the ball and hand it off to Selex. Selex then rushed and passed it to Linger, who scored on the next turn. 1 - 1

Nurgle was happy that his players had recovered the game from a lost hope to a possibility of tying. But, as everyone knows, Wood Elves can easily score in two turns, and despite both Nurgle and the Pro's best efforts, Wardancer Damage ran it in on the last turn.

The Pros got no new skills and did not get much money at all. As the other Gods came back from a glorious battle and saw what had happened, they tried to harrass Nurgle, who threatened to infect them all. They backed down. And to make sure that the team's spirits were not low, Nurgle appeared to Selex, Linger, and Coach Oblitzamanger in a dream that night explaining what had happened. Coach Oblitzamanger vowed to make more sacrifices before the game so that the Gods would pay more attention to him and the team.
