“"So, respectable Nobles," said Coach Oblitzamanger. "Are there any complaints today?" he said mockingly.
The group of parents laughed. Their sons had just played a fine game of Blood Bowl, and no one was hurt. Coach Oblitzamanger had earned a lot of money to help pay off his debt to the Nobles, and the team developed a lot under his great guidance.
"I want to say," said one happy father," that despite my doubts of him getting a good game for the boys, the Coach arranged a great matchup and prepared the boys very well for the game. I especially liked when Oroampaiel knocked out that large Troll. He didn't come back for a while, and I am sure that without Oblitzamanger's outstanding coaching, he would never had been able to do it." The others applauded.
"Thanks kindly. Yes, I wanted to make sure we got a nice easy recovery match in. I knew the coach of the other team, and I knew he was a good guy. But most importantly, I knew we needed a stunty team to play against. And to be fair, those Trolls were only able to make one successful pass with their team mate out of several attempts, and the one time the pass came off, the poor gobbo failed the landing! To be honest, we got lucky, and the poor grots paid for it, one with his life." The Coach signalled for more comments.
One father stood up. "I would like to say that despite this game being very barbaric, I rather enjoyed wathing those goblins run around haplessly. I espcieally enjoyed wathing that pro player, Bomber Dibblesnot, get blown to pieces by his own bomb!" The other laughed.
"Now now..." said the Coach teasingly. "He was only badly hurt!"
"Could you tell us the final stats from the game, Coach, such as who passed to whom and who scored?"
"Okay. First, Beletharato passed to Aratagar. I helped him to increase his agility as a result, since I knew then he was ready. Then, Aratagar handed it off to Dimfennas. Dimfennas then passed to Hallaandune who then scored." The fathers congradulated each other.
"After the Trolls fumbled his own team mate, which killed him, but was saved by the medics, Sindacu got the ball and passed to Dimfennas. But that time, let's see here," he said looking at his clipboard. "He dropped it. So Aratagar got it and passed to Beletharato. That was when Oroampaiel knocked out that Troll," he said with a smile. "But that damned Star player was able to throw his bomb just right and it ruined our chances of scoring since the blast knocked all of our players down in the area. But, Quellehith did manage to badly hurt a Goblin, earning our team it's first casualty ever!" The parents cheered.
"Next, as a Goblin barely survived being eaten by the Troll, Dimfennas got the ball, but another bomb knocked him down. However, still another bomb then prematurely blew up in the Star's face and badly hurt him. With no more threat, Novorod made some nice blitzs to clear the way for Dimfennas, who got up and scored." The fathers laughed at the hurt Star player.
"When the Goblin failed the landing in our backfield, Aratagar again made a nice pass to Dimfennas, who scored again. After that, Vehilion managed to make a pass in order to secure the ball from conceding a touchdown. He got the MVP and thus I taught him and Dimfennas how to block better."
The fathers cheered in approval. :I have one more announcement," said Coach Oblitzamanger. "As you may have noticed, there is another benefactor in this room. I have been scouting his son, Palansereg, as a possible Blitzer prospect, and with the team's money in the treasury from this game, I have decided to hire him. And, with Imbekanoion back from his smashed hip, the team will have 11 players again. I will try to get a favorable matchup, but they are prepared for a good fight in the next game." All the fathers cheered once again in approval as the post-game meeting was adjourned.”
