Going into this match I felt the odds were pretty good in my favor. I had more block, enough Guard to counter his ST. A lot more MB. And any damage I caused would force gobbos onto the field. Things were looking good for the dwarfs.

And then...

My first series of blocks... 4 knocked down orcs, all with MB players... 1 stun. He knocks one player down... kills my best blitzer. So I use the apoth. Figure how often does a dwarf die... the answer: more than you would think.

Mossbeard would record 2 more kills before a single KO, BH or SI. A failed dodge resulted in a KO and then another Kill!

Madness. I still had good chance to pull it. Popping the ball in his second half drive, but I could never get a good bounce and left the thing on the turf too long. Mossbeard quickly recovered and sealed the deal.

Another ball pop in OT was only able to breifly delay the inevitable.

Congrats to Mossbeard on winning the Asgard Open. He played an exceedingly tight game the whole match and deserved the win with or without the brutal dice!
