“With Olaf Moat sitting out his first game of retirement, all eyes were on the injured Stu Gauntlet. Rumors swirled around like the still falling snow; would this be his last game?

The Gypsies started slow, still having trouble adjusting to the cold weather. Cougar threw the ball to the new protege, Jonez, but the orcs were soon on him and he spend the rest of the game nursing a bruised shoulder (and ego). The Gypsies would get the ball back and drive down the field. A fumbled ball ended up in no other hands than Stu Gauntlet's! The crowd were on their feet cheering for the veteran as he trudged up the field, guarded by Brimstone. He scored at the end of the half, perhaps his days weren't over after all!

The second half was a battle back and forth for the ball. Brimstone took out one of the black orcs and drove in for the ball. Knocking it free, the ball ended up in the hands of another black orc.. Knuckles Magoo! The boys from Dark Water swarmed around him at the sideline, figuring they'd at least eeked out the tie. But that was not to be. Stu Gauntlet feel under the rusty maul of one of the orcs and had to be dragged off the field. Then, the orcs pushed their man through the Gypsy line, and he went for it, in the snow, winning the game for Pain State.

The medics, noting yet another injury that would never heal, gave Stu the bad news he that this would be his retirement game after all. So another Gauntlet leaves the Gypsies. But the Dark Water fans love their legacies, so another sirname of influence, Demon is back! Drake will step in as lineman to replace Guantlet.
