“Challenged by the upstart Feral Beasts, the Dead Chess Masters initially deferred, but the Beasts clearly were up for the match - so the Chess Masters took the field. A pitch invasion on the opening kickoff left three Beasts face down in the dirt - but not out of the game. The Chess Masters pushed into the backfield, Max Euwe blitzed Disndat and scored early in the match.

The next drive was fairly comical - both teams failing block and dodge rolls, with frequent turnovers. Chaos Warrior Gaston took the ball downfield, and as he dove for the endzone, the ball came loose! Botvinnik took the ball and tried to hurl it clear, but he fumbled the throw, leaving yet another chance for the Beasts. Cheena was tripped up at the one pace line, and Botvinnik took the ball back upfield, with the half ending shortly after.

The second half commenced with a six turn riot, but the Chess Masters were determined to make another score. Botvinnik blodged his way through the defense, and a one pace pass from Tal was duly converted to a touchdown.
