“After having a good run in the Blutballas Cup, I finally paid for a few things: my low FF, and the fact that I chose Lustrian as a race in a knock-out tournament which would inevitably be dominated by dwarves.

Before the first kick-off I suffered a pitch invasion which MNGed my Amazon catcher and KOed another zon, and the apothecary failed. This was a portent of my luck for the entire game. The dwarves received, and with 11 versus 9, they found it easy to walk the ball down the field for the first score, KOing a few more including my saurus on the first block of the game and my only zon with sure hands. The second kick-off with 10 fit Cult players saw another zon KO to a thrown rock, and the dwarves swarmed to eventually have 7 of my players KOed by the end of the half. Only a desperate throw in the backfield by a skink held off the advancing dwarf hordes for a second TD.

The second half wasn't much better, with the dwarves again putting 7 in the KO box, as well as killing a skink. It got to the stage where they were breaking armour 75% of the time, and it was a massacre. I never got close to scoring, and never took the field with 11 players after the kick-off.

Good luck to Voodoo in the rest of the tournament, although I wonder how boring it will be to have a dwarf vs dwarf final.”
