"Alright now, you all remember the gameplan from the last time we played Norsemen?" said Coach Oblitzamanger. "Hit 'em hard and often!" he yelled and the team yelled back, pumped for the game.

They stormed the picth ready to fight, and a fight they got from the start. It was one small mistake from Norse Thrower Hagar the Small that decided the game on the first turn. While trying to make a short pass near the sidelines, a particularly nasty Trollslayer fan (who had caused much trouble in the previous match for the other team as well) taunted the Thrower saying, "You had better give me the ball, or I'll break your neck!" Thus, nervously, Hagar threw the ball too far and it went into the crowd. The fan then threw it right to the Guild and Runner Kain Tombhands picked it up right in the middle of a brawl.

With Minotaur Dog being stunned in a blitz by Trollslayer Thorin Loremallet, the ball was relatively safe Multiple attempts to break the cage failed as Kain broke through the cage with the protection of Guarding Longbeard Dori Craftyhammer. Kalnar the Toothless then badly hurt Longbeard Lar Rockmail by smashing him very hard on the nose. Blitzer Conan the Savage then dodged away to pop Kain down and catch the ball. However, Kain got right back up and knocked Conan down in turn. Dori caught the ball and ran downfield with it, clear of opponenets.

The Guild stalled a little, as they had good field advantage and there was good time to score back before the half was up. Trollslayer Rorin Songhelm, who was in quite a frenzy, used up the Norse medic's resources when he broke the neck of Kalnar in retaliation for his hit on Lar. Runner Parin Rockbow escaped the fray and ran to recieve a hand off from Dori in the endzone to score a touchdown, and earn enough SPPs to learn a new skill. 1 - 0 Runesmith's Guild

Onca again, Hagar's pass went awry as the ref blew his whistle for halftime. The Dwarves were getting pumped as they would be outnumbered 10 - 11 by the Norsemen. Coach Oblitzamanger's strategy hadn't worked so far, but they did have the lead, so all they had to do was hold onto the ball to secure the win.

Rorin started the half on a good note by badly hurting Lineman Boris the Ugly on the Line of Scrimage. kain got the ball and a cage formed around him in the backfield. But, when the front line crumbled, Kain was forced to help assist Thorin to smack Dog back and make some room for the Runner. However, there were more Norsemen there than Dwarves, and it was an uphill battle from the start. But when Conan failed a block, and Dog failed to stand up, the Dwarves were given a quick repreive. Thorin Loremallet ended it when he was knocked out in a one on one contest with Blitzer Marcus the Powerful.

Marcus however failed to knock Kain down as Rorin badly hurt another Norseman, Feran the Silent. Rorin then pushed the mighty Dog away from Kain, as Hagar, trying to make up for his earlier mistake, blitzed and knocked Kain down, lossing the bal in the middle of th brawl. Captain Blitzer Ibun redplate then broke the poor Thrower's neck while protecting the ball. Rorin stunned Dog and Parin nabbed the ball, aiming for another touchdown. However, Conan, in an amazing feat, stopped the touchdown by getting up, dodging, and knocking out Parin, but failed to pick up the ball. The half ended as Marus the Quick fouled Rorin on the last turn, badly hurting him. But it had no effect on the game as the ref blew the final whistle, failing to see the foul while looking at his watch, leaving the scoreboard displaying 1 - 0 Runesmith's Guild.

The team was cheered off the pitch as heroes again and they increased their following. They earned enough money to buy another Longbeard, Porin Songbrow. Also, Coach Oblitamanger was able to teach Parin how to dodge better.

But best of all, Oblitzamanger was near to getting out of the debt he owed to the Guild. A little more money and he would be completely out of owing the Guild, much to everyone's delight. The team has had several arguments on whether they will stay together when this finally happens.
