“Well now... what an initiation into Premier. Looks like an OB or Chunky Premier season for me. Relegation here I come. Copped 2nd Niggle on ag5 blodge guard lineman who has retired, lost rookie lineman, and aged for 2nd niggle on a mng catcher who has also retired. Ooh plus no money meant that my season is effectively over.. with only 9 players facing up to the champs in Round 2.

Started with Pouring Rain which of course effected me more. Talaban Niggled out, and Rzak Xhen was framed and spent the night in prison. Started game with 11players and with the devil himself 'The Replacemnt' looking like he had eaten his nutrigrain (Iron Man) a world of hurt was feared. Filthy little bastard Cheese fouls and kills Oris in first turn of the game, so violently he was sent off along with his foul mouthed arguing coach :) Jiang and Touchstone charge through to blitz the ball carrier Green Green White but the sneaky agility 4 Linerat has dodge and doesnt go down. Ra-Hel multiblocks pushing away both opponents within reach and taking root so he cant lay a bough on them. Replacemnt takes out our only active wardancer Talaban leaving us with 9 players and very few ideas. Green Green White comfortably dodges away but his possy of gutter runners fail to catch the ball. Baj and Suryet combine to free up the ball, while Anwar our Agility 5 Lineman fails his dodges to the ball and with both 'Echoes' catchers wide open smashes his hand and earns himself early retirement. Green Green White scooping up the pill and connecting with Fat Rat who proceeds to stall in the bottom corner for 1 turn before scoring. 1-0 GBF. A Perfect defense frustrates our drive. Have plans to send Touchstone with ball downfield and hope for the best but Niclin fumbles the pass. Rats swarm around the ball. Touchstone has to go back for it blitzing LOS Machine and scooping up the pill himself.. ready to cop his pounding. A small break.. Damage trips trying to cover Jiang, killing himself instantly, luckily the Apoth was on hand and he recieved a reprieve. Fool that I am I miscount a multiblock only giving myself 1 dice, and as my very first option for this vital turn Ra-Hel crashes to the ground in front of both storm vermin. Touchstone survives the attention of the Replacemnt and heads off up field, Jiang also breakin free of his markers and creating an option upfield. Luckily the Replacemnt tripped going for his blitz, and Touchstone was able to weave through traffic and handoff to Jiang for the equaliser. 1-1 on the close of the half.

The Weather cleared for the second half. The setup for the drive was Ok, Niclin burning a reroll gathering the ball. Jiang was taken out by the Replacemnt, a broken jaw. 7 players on the field now. Suryet took out Splatter Mark. Veris knocked out TheTemp. All looking rosy for the TD, but useless Niclin failed to throw the pass accurately. Green Green White failed the pickup with Fat Rat in place, however Touchstone was lying stunned on the ground courtesy of another Replacemnt blitz. Ra-Hel surprised by Badly Hurting LOS Machine. Suryet burst clear as bloody Niclin moved in for the pickup. Manky Rat using his pass blocking abilities, which caused a fumble which dropped straight into his furry little arms. Dashing away Manky Rat handed off to mr Fat Rat again who proceeded to run on ahead.. and stall again. Infrustration our master plan is to blitz The Replacemnt with Ra-Hel (why when he has Iron Man) who of course takes root and wastes the blitz. With no one within range Fat Rat stalls some more. The 'Echoes' try to concentrate their attacks on Revenge, but fail the dodge roll for our assistant fouler. Another Stalled turn. The 'Echoes' use some common sense and swarm back, this time Baj is able to foul Revenge for a KO and this time Fat Rat trundles over the line. 2-1 GBF. The clock gets adjusted for injury time. Niclin connects with Touchstone who blitzes up field kocking over Revenge but tripping over trying to create more space between him and his pursuers. Fat Rat fails to recover the ball, but there are many Furry Critters surrounding a pretty isolated Touchstone, who of course Blitzes his way out, dodges to the ball and leaps away for the TD. 2-2. More Injury time... I know they are my players.. but your not helping ref. Veris has his ribs broken by you know who.. probably should have brought out the Apoth, but still terrifed of losing Touchstone to that menace The Replacemnt. Given a small window with a failed block by TheTemp we go for glory and try to blitz Green Green White, leaving only minimal coverage on the wide recievers, Baj unable to bring him down. Green Green White effortlessly dodging away, connecting with Lab Rat who opts against a hand off and merely heads up field himself, with sadly not a standing 'Echoes' player within site. We try to tempt the Replacemnt into a blitz on Touchstone, but Eganra was having none of that, Lab Rat sealing the win with a fine TD and a 3-2 win right on the bell.

In summary we are sadly gone this season. While our estimation of Eganra's team has improved markedly. They have plenty of hitting power, more even than the reigning champs I would think, and could hurt many a low armour team, while still having the gutter runners and Green Green White to pull off their scoring plays. An inauspicious start to our Premier career, all the best Eganra and good luck for the season.
