#3 Faust – Smashed Knee (NI)
#4 Virgil – Smashed Knee (NI)
This just simply wasn't my game. Shufflers exploited holes in the defense and pushed my goblins into the mud "wid a quickness". There were drives I just wanted to be over since so many players were KO'ed or had become injured over the course of the drive.

On a brighter note, my 1 turn TD accomplished by throwing a Goblin across the line of scrimmage then running it in was absolutely stunning. Not to mention completely unexpected.

These matches vs the Shufflers have devolved into grudge matches, and I seem to consistently walk away with more injuries. However, replacement goblins are cheap and I will continue to throw myself against the impenetrable fortress that is Shufflers as long as they issue the challenge!

This was the game the Shufflers needed after their 0-4 shutout

Quite simply, everything worked the way we needed it to. Defense showed up to this game, making a very stingy first half. The Shufflers displayed some patience on the field as well, and when we got the ball we took our time in moving it downfield. Patience paid off, and DJ Jazzy Jeff scored a TD for the team, earning him a new skill in the process.

The second half wasn't quite as strong for the Shufflers as was the first, but once Skeletor fouled out, the team rallied up. With a stagnant few turns, the devolved into a shoving match, in which the Shufflers can outperform the Biscuiteers typically. However, the Snatchers "Snatched" an amazing same-turn TD by combination of a bad kick touchback and goblin toss, he had scored before I had a turn. Nice work on that immediate turn 6 TD.

A good game, well-fought by both sides. The friendly Snatchers - Shufflers rivalry is building up, and it was a shame to injure two "give-it-all" players like Faust and Virgil (One even on a 2nd half turn 8 block - I'll restrain myself in the future). Lets hope they don't get niggled for future games.
