#10 Kan Doeet – Broken Ribs (MNG) #10 Kan Doeet – Smashed Hip (-MA)
“Well, what I feared most is what happened. As seems to happen so often in this game, once the injuries start rolling in for one side, they continue until what's left of the team is just so much blood splatter on the pitch.
I'd have been happy with a draw, but the injuries started rolling in quickly in the second half and by the end my team was in tatters and the overwhelming numbers made it impossible for any of my players to get in Erik Leatherfoot's way.
Fortunately, the only lasting injury was to Kan Doeet, whose wounds were so great as to make him ineffective at what the team needs him for, so he has decided to retire from the field of play and help the team instead by filling in as a much needed coach.
This was a well played game by the coach of the Hammerhands, and these are some very tough dwarves. I look forward to watching his further games in the league and look forward to more games against these dwarves in future seasons!”
“'First half was rough, those greenskins be knowin' how ta dish out and take it too. Then we figgered out where ta hit 'em so it'd hurt, and we finally got some of 'em off tha pitch. That turned the match 'round in our favor.'
---Hulgar Hammerhand, Team Captain and MVP.
'No time for interviews. Some 'fans' threw a rock at me. I'm gonna give it back. Reck-tally.'
---Magni Coppereye.
'Who'd 'of thought that an orc'd have a glass chin?'
---Hrolf Thunderhorn, Dwarf Of The Match by all accounts except the official one.”
