“First round of the Vidar Invitational IV of the Champions Cup Challenge.
Coming off the win of the Valkries I tourney Pearl's boys are looking to climb up the CCC ladder in the Vidar.
HickoryDuff brought only 10 girls to play, but they quickly asserted themselves with an early BH and good blocking. However the dice turned on him when it came to ball handling and suddenly the rats were swarming the ball in typical vermin fashion.
With a little luck and nimble GR play the Pride was able to score defensively with Team Capt, I. Klein, making the score.
Another kick and again the rats play high pressure defense after another flubbed ball handling. But this time they overcommit to the ball. Some nifty blocking and the Babes scoop up the loose ball and toss a deep pass to outrun the skaven defense. 1-1.
The Pride receives and with three turns to score takes its time moving the ball forward. Their lethargy almost costs them though as the Babes are able to surround the GRs in scoring position. A series of blocks and pushes though, frees just enough breathing space for I.Klein to score once more. 2-1 Pride at half.
The second half starts off inauspiciously for the Pride. An angered Babes fan klunks I.Klein with a beer bottle, and the Babes (encouraged by the ferocity of their supporters) begin a series of brutal blocks.
Rats fall as the deep kick is retreived. The speed of the Pride is used to reverse field a couple times, but without the numbers to protect the ball soon enough a blitz puts the ball on the turf. A scrum of fur and Bloody Babes ensues for quite some time. Finally Bald Pate is able to snatch the ball out from under a couple of girls and rumbles to the end zone for the clinching score.
The Pride half heartedly lines up for the final turns and watches as the Babes pull within 1 as the gun sounds. Victory for the Pride!
A very intense game overall. At the end the game was basically decided by a series of bad rolls including a double 1 2+ dodge that robbed Hickory of a blitz on the ball. A tough way to take a loss.
Well played. ”

Rolled more stats rolls at the end, so we'll see how that goes in the long run.
A fun game, bampf is always a pleasure to play against.”
