Now get out there and smash! Give me a roar!" yelled Coach Oblitzamanger to his team. They roared back loudly. Then they stomped onto the pitch.

However, rookie Runner Bundin Redmallet looked timid in the face of a real Blood Bowl match. Seeing this, Coach Oblitzamanger reassured him, "Don't worry about a thing. Just go out there and score me some touchdowns and I'll teach you later how to better protect yourself. But for now, your team mates will protect you. Now go!"

The Miners lined up in a V formation to receive the kickoff. The heckling Trollslayer fan that often interfered with the Guild's matches threw a rock at Longbeard Jealous which stunned him. Despite this, the Miners got the ball and ran to one side, with Runner Tickelish handing it off to Runner Doc.

The Guild responded hard as Longbeard Lar Rockmail, in a frenzy of fury, badly hurt Longbeard Angry in the Guild's first block of the game. Trollslayer Rorin Songhelm led the charge straight at the gap where the ball was while Bundin tried to flank the Miners by running around their far side. But it was the Miners who were excellent at one on one blocking today. Through many one dice blocks, Rorin and others fell and were losing their position at the gap. Tickelish and Doc handed off and passed to each other for SPPs. The Guild tried to bash and frenzy their way through the Miner's line, but Bundin was having more success just running around it. However, the two met up at the same time, with Rorin rushing through a last minute gap, and Bundin racing towards the ball. Guarding his opponents, Rorin helped Bundin knock down Doc, lossing the ball. But, Bundin failed to dodge away to pick it up and he too fell prone.

After much bashing about by the Miners, Longbeard Jealous caused the turnover with a failed dodge, and knocked himself out: a huge victory for the Guild. Then, Captain and Blitzer Ibun Redplate managed to knock out Longbeard Confused with his Mighty Blow skill. Those two knock outs allowed for Longbeard Dori Craftyhammer, with his guarding skill, to rush to the aid of Rorin and Bundin. When Doc got stunned trying to block Dori away, Ibun Redplate merely blitzed in and badly hurt Blitzer Sneezy, clearing the way for Bundin to pick up the ball and stall at the endzone. After three turns of stalling, Bundin walked it in as the Miners never got the ball onto the Guild's half. Halftime: 1 - 0 Runesmith's Guild

Only Jealous came back at halftime, and Confused was quickly joined by Longbeard Happy. The Miners fought back though. However, it was ended by a lucky hit that Rorin managed to deflect from Longbeard Deseatful. In one swipe of his large fist, Rorin damaged the back of the Dwarf, and luckily the apothecary saved him from permament injury. Both Blitzers and Runners formed a side wall around Bundin. Both Runners from the Miners got in their way, and so the cage moved into the middle of the pitch and became a screen, blocking out the Runners. After Longbeard Sad stunned himself on the brick wall that was Lar Rockmail, the game was over and the Guild stalled until the half was over, giving Bundin his second score. Only one more eventful thing hapened when Dori badly hurt the injury prone Deseatful, earning him another skill.

The team roared off the pitch in triumph once again, and they felt better about this one since they beat their own kin, proving who the better Dwarves were. Later on, Dori learned Stand Firm. which would help with his Guard, Bundin indeed learned how to better protect himself with Block, and Ibun became the first Guild member to increase any stat by gaining extra strength. The team got enough money to buy a replacement Longbeard, Nalin Tombeye. They were on a roll, and would keep on smashing.”
