“Green Silence played the Rumblers at Blackrock stadium which the Rumblers has assured me was freshly installed Astrogranite - indeed the pitch looked excellent. Green Silence entered the match with 11 players, and the Rumblers had just 9, so a closely fought battle was to come.

Dwarven Runner Feuerschmied took the ball up the field, and the lizards and dwarves clashed. The skinks put heavy pressure on the ball from behind, and relieved the dwarves of the heavy burden of the ball. Vrillik took up the ball, but Knock Amboss crushed him immediately, and the ball bounced through the scrum to emerge on the Lizard side of the line. Powerful dwarf blocking freed the ball, but Bogomir Tretdich failed to pick up the ball. Longbeard Nagomar ended up with the bouncing ball. Beorgol the 'Dark' was tripped and fell into a hidden pit filled with spikes, and was killed on the spot! Fortunately, the apocethary had a potion ready for just such an occurence, and Beorgol returned to the game. Saurus Rezzic blitzed Nagomar, but Rezzic was completely unable to pick up the ball, failing twice before losing it back to the scrum. Skink Ifghor took the ball, but immediately was hacked down as he dodged away, and the ball was loose yet again! What a wild drive!

Ifghor finally got the ball again, and with a line of skinks lanced down the sideline. However, while this was happening, Ogre Garrr Harrr tore both arms and both legs off Xiorph the 'Juggernaut' and left him for dead. So much for being unstoppable. Ifghor was finally successful, and scored the first touchdown, and the half ended.

Beorgol took the kickoff and waited for his opportunity. Morgyff the Rainbow ran into the backfield to create something, and three dwarves followed him closely. Insufficient numbers of dwarves on the line allowed Beorgol to break through, and he easily scored.

As they lined up for the kickoff, a mysterious man standing on the grassy knoll wihpped a rock and cracked Rezzic the 'Tooth' in the noggin, stunning him. Feuerschmied took the ball upfield, but left himself open to a blitz by Krobahr... Double Skulls! Feuerschmied headed toward the endzone, but the lizards were in reach. First was Zerquix, who had to go for it to get to the proper square for the assist, but he stepped on a landmine! BOOOOOOM! Skink bits everywhere! Needless to say, Feuerschmied strolled into the endzone unopposed.

Beorgol set up deep to receive the kick off, but the mystery man on the grassy knoll pitched another rock, shattering Beorgol's hand! Ifghor cleared the ball to Llyxerf, who escaped up the field. Vrillik threw a block to open space, but Bogomir knocked Llyxerf flat while breaking the skink's jaw. Time expired, and mercifully so - Green Silence was running short on players!

So, two players killed, two more out for next game - Recovery game against snotlings, I hope :) Thanks for a fun match
