“The Gypsies get their first win in seven matches against none other than arch-rival Da Todfatha!
On an extremely bright fall day, the full Dark Water roster would meet Waagh Pain State on the field of glory. Would their four rookies serve a greater good, or would they be a liability? It turns out the Gypsies did not have to count on their reserves this match, due to their new outfits obviously being able to take the beating.
Cougar started off slow after his (for him) strong prior game. On the first drive, he chased the ball around the field for a bit, before misplacing a TD pass to the young Luther Jonez. Luckily the Four Kings were able to open up a path for the catcher, who would pick up the ball and run for the endzone! DWG 1-0.
The orcs let out a battle-cry (or maybe just cried a little) and stormed back for a TD of their own, wrapping up the first half.
The Gypsies kicked off to the orcs, and Stable placed the pigskin right inside the endzone. While the orcs hustled to pick it up, the rest of the boys held off the Pain State offensive line. The Gypsies manged to work around the corner and knock the ball from the orc ball-carrier. Brimstone sent the black orc, Break Yonek into an early retirement with one devistating punch. The rest of the Gypsies covered Leadfist as he picked up the ball and strolled down the field to win the game!
The orc's Troll spent so much of the game with its large finger up its nose, that Grimble Gromble actually looked good next to him. The crowd awarded him MVP! With this new inspiration, the clumsy ogre plans to be a better support player to his tinier teammates.
The Gypsies continue their steady climb in ranking and popularity. As the 331st best human team in the stats, they have a way to go before they crack the top 50 like their legendary forefathers... will their tale have a happier ending?
Good game, Todfatha. We both had bad luck, but yours was worse for a much longer period of time. Glad to start evening up our head-to-head record...”
