“A first victory for the Nevermen but the fans left the stadium disgruntled at the poor show. Perhaps hoping for a more emphatic victory they were instead left to ponder the missed opportunities and bad luck that hampered the Pot Bellies.

The brilliant aerial game of the Pot Bellies was only hampered by the bad turf and some rough landings that were to be exploited by the Nevermen.

Despite bringing in the Professor to orchestrate the passing game, the Nevermen returned to form relying on Mr Cadaver and Mr Diggs to run the winning touchdowns home. Even the slippery Mr Fingers got in on the act!

An untimely slip by Mr Match as he ran the ball home prevented an early second half lead for the Nevermen, allowing time for the Pot Bellies to get back into the match. Unfortunate landings disrupted their game and the Nevermen were only to happy to pounce on these fumbles.

Overall a good game and an honourable opponent.”
