“The much anticipated match up between the Warseer league's two big hitters, Von Fraunhofer the S5 Blitzer and Yorkiebar the S4 Witch Elf, never really happened with a first turn confrontation between the two leaving the Witch KOed for the first half.

A string of stunned elves early in the game lead to a fairly routine Athletico Middenheim touchdown while the return down saw AM break up a risky Elf cage and a AM break helped by a string of quick Warseers turnovers left a lineman pegging it down the pitch to take AM into a 2-0 lead.

Ominiously this let the Witch Elf back onto the pitch and after the half-time whistle she proceeded to storm up the pitch, and despite being swamped by AM players the Witch pushed past and scored. A player up for most of the match AM were confident that a quick TD would seal the game. A lack of re-rolls made this a little tricky and the risk adverse strategy was almost spoiled by an interception. Luckly for AM S5 came to the rescue again and the ball was recovered, the next interception attempt failed and 3-1 put the result beyond doubt. The game ended with the Warseers playing like Arsenal in the late 90s with it all being passing in the backfield. The AM game was marred by a late MNG for a blitzer with the Apothacary typicaly failing. The extra block would have been nice against the Rotters team they face next.”
