#3 Donny Diamond – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
OOC: Great coach to play against, thanks for the game!

----------------------------------
Dominant World Order went into this game, raring to go and champing at the bit, looking forward to illustrious and challenging careers, new lives opening up for them in the world of the ultimate bloodsport, Blood Bowl!

A team of ex-wrestlers all fired up on steriods and energy drinks took on a bunch of Pro Elves, the most prolificly entertaining type of side that you can watch.... if you are interested in passing instead of killing!

Pre match, new captain Kaiowas, the Tribal Warrior from Lustria was caught by many newswriters sitting, motionless, eyes shut, in what turns out to be a meditation technique, psyching himself up for his first game leading a bunch of ex comrades and nemesi against what could be a tough opposition already 3 games into their careers!

Also rumoured that Donny Diamond, the most pale skinned giant ever seen, had been topping up his biceps illegally and took the field a little bulkier than usual!

The only DWO player open for quotes was the overly self centered TRD, a man so obsessed with himself, it would not be a surprise if he believed he was the only player on the field worth anything!

TRD: "Hey, no sweat, these Elves think they can beat us easily? then wait til they run into me, ya know I am the best rookie around and i'll run rings around.... no wait! come back! Listen to me! I'm important, you'll see!"

And unfortunately, all the headlines will be about TRD as his performance did swing the match today. The game started with a Human kick off and the Nutters with the return.

------------------------------------

The Game:

It didn't take long for the Tribal Warriors to stamp their authority on the game and within seconds of kick off, SurReal had already badly hurt a Nutter, with Kaiowas holding the poor lineelf down for extra effect!

Later, Draven capitalised in a defensive hole in the Nutters line, and pushed through, selfishly looking for the fame and took down the ball carrier in the back field, leaving himself tantalysingly close to both the ball and the end zone.

The elves bit back and put two men covering the ball, stopping Draven from getting to his prize, hoping to fend off the early blitzing from the more physical Humans. Even though a blitz from sponge wielding Kuff McSlade, led to the ball finding the grasping hands of an Elf, Draven smashed him down where he stood and the ball was safely grasped by none other than headline grabbing TRD, the DWO thrower and no one could stop him waltzing into the end zone both hands in the air, lauding all the praise for his opportunistic score.

While he was doing that Julius Corbin was making his first serious attempt at forcing his opponents repent their ways but could only badly hurt another poor line elf.

The rest of the half went without another hitch for the DWO, foiling a concerted attempt to draw level and they nearly scored, with Diamond fumbling a last second pick up seconds from the end.

After half time, the DWO continued where they left off, pressing, pushing and hurting, with Lithium taking a short pass from TRD in her own half and bursting free, dodging and holding off numerous blocks. Unfortunately, in the process, the illegally pumped up Donny Diamond, knocked himself over TWICE, and ironically smashed his collar bone, leaving him permanently weakened and missing for the next game!

McSlade finally got in on the action and thought he had drawn first blood, smashing an elf to a pulp, but the chirugeon put the poor sod together again and the game ended with the Elves poncing around in the back field after a late pitch invasion.

Post Match Interviews:

Kaiowas, the team captain, was approached for an interview and was found cursing his luck that he didn't get in on the hurting...

Kaiowas: "Impune Elves should never believe they can avoid our fists and our forearms, they should learn to be tough, like the Tribal Warriors. I am... disheartened that I did not smash one of their finely style haircuts into the astrogranite! However... that SurReal smashed one of them down is enough to placate me for now!"

Fortunately, TRD was surrounded by all sorts of reporters so we did not get collared by the self professed MVP, which thankfully went to the Nurnberg powerhouse, the silent Rainer.

Post match, Sean Quinn was enlisted from the ghetto's of Nuln in order to plug the gap that the now weak Diamond has left.... The DWO have fulfilled many of their self set challenges and will march into their next game confident and looking to carry on what they have started!
