“Suprising everyone, FFoP managed to successfuly pick up the ball at the beginning of their drive. The smelly hooves of Mankhshank carried him towards the endzone until he was cruelly smashed by the Jackson 5. His team mates rallied and were able to largely clear the field, leaving the scoring reliant only upon their erratic ball handling skills. Time was the enemy, almost as much as their inability to catch even simple hand-offs and the half ended with both teams still locked at zero.
The revitalised Jackson 5 blazed out of their dugout in the second half and systematically beat the a couple of new flavours out of the Pandemonium Boys. FFoP rallied slightly and were able to pressure the ball carrier, but the might of J5 was imperturbable and Jermaine danced into the endzone.
A last minute attempt by the FFoP to even the score was prematurely destroyed by their inability to secure the ball.”
“I cannot disagree with coach svvampy - this game was a tale of two halves. The first found the Jacksons unprepared for game time, but the tenacious Jackson defense was able to muster just enough interference to deny the FFoP to score, even though only 2 Jacksons remained on the pitch.
With the second half kickoff, the cobwebs had been cleared and the 3 KO's all returned to fight again. A good solid march to the end zone secured a 1-0 victory, which was much more hard fought than the Jacksons expected. It seems the boys took the FFoP's for granted and expected an easy victory.
Coach tzilacatzin definately let the team have it in his halftime speech, and the team came out and played mistake free blood bowl through the (extended due to injury time) second half - not even using one reroll.
Coach tzilacatzin wishes coach svvampy the best of luck with his team, as we share a soft spot for the Chaos race, and a rematch would be welcome. Only next time, we want more TD's and more casualties. ”
