“When I challenged those CD I knew the DP in their team was going to be the deciding factor, as my own was missing this game. With the failure to remove the DP by blocking, he got 3 fouls off: 1 assist foul on my BOB for a KO (didn't come back), gangfoul on ST4 blitzer for mng, and a 2 assist foul on troll for KO. Guess I was right. ;)
First half started with johan electing to kick, but my AG4 lino burned through 3 rerolls trying to get the ball pass the midline but it never happened. Thought I'd end the half with 0-0 but with a casualty lead, but their DP did a good job of destroying that thought. Second half, I was down to 9 vs 11 after their first turn KOd my troll. Had one chance of knocking the ball loose on a 1d, but it was not to be. From there, the CD got their field position right and it was game over. Overall, a fairly hard game, dice didn't cooperate, yadda yadda.
Thanks for the game, and see you at a rematch. ;)”
#14 Lombard III – Broken Ribs (MNG) #14 Lombard III – Smashed Knee (NI)
“It looked like things could go nasty in the early rounds of the first half (lost a Dwarf to SI on one of the very first blocks), but the combination of my rookie Bulls chasing the ball deep downfield (even though they never actually picked it up) and poor rolling by the Commies made sure the ball stayed on his half all through. The combination of focus and lucky rolls slowly cleared his ST 4 players off the field (they're always the largest hassle when you play Dwarves or CD).
It could have gone either way, but everything's so much easier when the die like you. :-)”
