This was a ridiculous game! Despite my relatively crappy luck and some amazing armour rolling by keggie this game was a lot of fun.
Regulation was played entirely in pouring rain (even after a weather change where the 11 was rolled again). The game started out awful for me, as my cheating Claw/RSC made 2 attempts to knock down his mino and rolled nothing but skulls and pushes. The mino retaliated by BHing him.
Shortly a couple more rotters joined him in the BH bin (went 0 for 4 on regens to start the game). So I was stuck trying to make plays with bestmen, most of them unskilled. I managed a score in my opening drive and did my best to defend.
The rain severely hampered Keggie and I was eventually able to BH his Sure Handed Hobby makes things even more interesting.
Heavily outnumbered I was forced to try crazy play after crazy play (a typical turn led off with a goat dodge w/o RR and a couple GFIs)... some of these actually worked and I managed to pop the ball (and even grab it) a couple times. The successes were momentary and the Smack Arounds were always able to recover. Eventually it came down to a Turn 8 GFI w/o RR to send things into OT... and he made it.
I kicked in OT still down many players and even worse-- the sun finally peeked out from behind the clouds... helping to allay the CDs ball handling woes.
It was more of the same in OT... desperate plays at the ball and lots of dice being thrown without RRs. Again I disrupted the Smack Arounds offense just enough to make things difficult, forcing a 3+ pickup on turn 8 which again was successful.
For my part I was happy I was able to make life as difficult as I did for Keggie and called it a moral victory. It was a lot of fun trying to cook up some kind of defense with only a handful of players.
As and added bonus the only lasting injury was on an unskilled expendable goat.
“This game was alot of fun, and a little disturbing. I actually felt bad after his 3rd player failed his regen. After his 4th, I felt the warm fuzzy glow of nuffle sending me his love. The really amusing part of the game was that I couldnt pick up the ball let alone move it. I have a credo that I try to score as much as possible thus avoiding any kind of stalling. You wouldnt have figured on this Because I scored both my TDs on turn 8. Three cheers for bampf, hes a good player that never gave up. .”

Well done, keggie, and good luck in the finals!”
