“One of the most enjoyable games i have played in a while. This match was the story of....
***The Bribe Gone Too Far (tm)***
Seeking additional leverage for a tough match up against the ever dangerous Gatts (regardless of team.... check out the first GLT) with his stacked Woodies, the Bunnies decided to bribe the ref in VERY large terms. The result was a ref who let everything fly!
Starting off the game, the ref did not enforce 2 consecutive offsides calls (2 Blitzes!) and the match was very quickly 2-0 in favor of the woodies. The speed with which the elves struck left the Bunnies unable to even foul or properly crunch a pansy. A third TD followed in fairly short order and the Bunnies were in desperate straits facing a complete blowout.
Settling down, the Bunnies were able to add a TD before the half only to get hit with a one turn TD. Halftime score: 4-1 in favor of the elves.
Starting off on defense, the Bunnies were quickly scored on but finally succeeded in holding the elves still long enough to get some shots in.
The rest of the match was the Bunnies displaying solid offensive form in scoring swift, and following with 2 concescutive defensive TDs. The ref was never seen again.
Solid match and i learned some valuable lessons before the FC. Thanks Gatts. Hopefully we will face again in the FC (not first round either).
